Fever Ray- If I Had A Heart
i adore fever ray/the knife.
the first time I saw this clip it was at some crazy hour of the morning (in the am's)
i remember as i was watching the clip in the dark a friend msged me to switch on rage, spooky i was already on it and in awe. Karen's voice is hauntingly stunning.
TV on the Radio- Wolf Like Me.
whenever someone asks me what my favourite song is i always reply with this track.
oh my word i cant fault anything with this track, i saw TVonTheRadio a couple of years back
they were so tight and the song is even better live. I love rocking out to this track whilst driving. turn it up loud!!!!
Undercover Martyn- Two Door Cinema Club
everytime without fail this song makes me smile, gives me goosebumps and my feet don't stop tapping until it's over. caught these guys at Laneway Festival earlier this year sooo friggin' good.
for emma forever ago (live only)- Bon Iver.
I remember listening this during a breakup- holy moley. this hit the nail on the head for me.
"go find another lover, to bring and string along. for all your lies, you're still very loveable."
no where near hateful, just sad.
Golden Sky- The Holidays
awww this song makes me melt, we caught them my last birthday at the Nash, hardly anyone at the gig, mega bonus. a couple of my buddies told them it was my b'day and they sang me "happy birthday" aww what treasures. now these guys are getting the rep they deserve and are currently taking Europe by storm & made turning 22 not so bad.
Mr Little Jeans- The Suburbs (Arcade Fire Cover)
So i didn't think it would be possible to pull off/outdo The Arcade Fire, but my word Mr Little Jeans (she's a Miss not a Mr) pulls it off and turned this song into her own. ahhh since being back from overseas I can't stop playing this track. amazing, i'm slowly catching up on the music i missed.
Paris- Friendly Fires
after just returning from Paris (my little girl's dream) no joke i still want to live in Paris. I love Friendly Fires to bits this track, Skeleton Boy & Kiss of Life - blow my mind.
"i'll find you that french boy, you'll find me that french girl........ cause every night we'll watch the stars they'll be out for us. & every night the city lights they'll be out for us."
my favourite city in the whole entire world. (so far)
+ Ed is a mega babe & probably has the best stage presence i've ever seen.
what's a Girl to Do- Bat For Lashes
I remember all of year 12 I wanted to be Natasha Khan, not going to happen. this film clip is unbelievable - very Donnie Darko. wahh! Im not too sure what's happened to Bat For Lashes hasn't been any new music for ages now. im hanging out for some new tracks!!
Jamie XX feat. Chidish Gambino- Rolling in Deep
okay so everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry girl loves Adel's Rolling in Deep. but this remix in un-friggin-real. Jamie XX- mega babe and dope as beats. & feat. Childish Gambino. aka Donald Glover rapping wahh i love him to bits. amazing track and a little bit less emo as the original.
The Hollows- Why
this track constantly comes on my shuffle, it's my sing-a-long song & im pretty certain i belted it out on the beach of Barcelona tanning.
" in Berlin i saw two men fuck in the dark corner of a basketball court, just a slight jingle of pock change pulsing. in the tourist part i lost 50 euros to the guy with the wallnut shells and the marbles and it really pissed me off so oooooo i thought i'd go back to get my money but all my homies warned my oh no those gypsies have probably got knives."
Heavy in your Arms- Florence and the Machine
I wanted to chose an underrated Florence song because they're all so amazing. but this track is just a little bit darker than her others & i like it. to sing like her, sigh!
